this is oso another my favourite! u get to cek it out the history, interesting!!... Step back into 14th century Singapore with a little help from the 21st century. Life-sized figures, rare artifacts and state-of-the-art technology give this history lesson extra ‘oomph’, bringing to life the sights, sounds and smells of bygone Singapore in four distinct sections. ‘Stories of the Sea’ recounts Singapore’s maritime history through the eyes of an amusing Chinese merchant. Or learn more about one of Chinese history’s most famous admirals, Admiral Cheng Ho, in an animatronic puppet show. Then take a walk into the warehouse and experience the thoroughly ‘moving’ and ‘spirited’ godown which houses the Object Theatre, the first of its kind in Asia. At the Pioneers of Singapore exhibit, you’ll come face-to-face with key historical personalities like Sir Stamford Raffles and local philanthropists such as Tan Tock Seng. Be transported back in time as you witness landmark signings and peek into old coolie quarters. Then relive Singapore’s darkest hours at the Surrender Chambers. An engrossing montage of authentic audio-visual footage, simulated sound recordings, rare artifacts and preserved documents bring to chilling life the tragedy of Singapore’s war years. Finally, celebrate with us at the Festivals of Singapore, where the rituals, festivals and cultural practices of the Chinese, Malays, Indians and Peranakans are recreated in their full glory. You’re also invited to attend elaborate wedding ceremonies, and enjoy the exuberant colours of religious occasions like Thaipusam or the cultural significance of Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations.
If you’ve ever wondered about King Neptune’s domain, wonder no more. The Underwater World oceanarium on Sentosa is home to more than 2,500 fishes from 250 different species. Start your tour with the Touch Pool for some ‘hands on’ experience with starfish, stingrays and if you dare, baby sharks. Then venture into the ocean depths via a moving travellator that ferries you through an 83-metre-long acrylic tunnel. All around you, sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past – engrossed in their own world. For those who don’t mind getting wet, interactive programmes such as ‘Dive with the Sharks’ or ‘Dive with the Dugong’ are available upon advance booking.
unfortunately, i didnt get to visit both of these places cos tat time stil under renovation
